Domaine Tariquet: Heritage and Expertise in Gascogne

Located in Gascogne, in the Southwest of France, Domaine Tariquet has belonged to the same family since 1912. Brothers Armin and Rémy Grassa, the fifth generation of winemakers, are now at the head of the estate. Domaine Tariquet is an owner-harvester. This means that all wines and Bas-Armagnacs are produced exclusively from grapes harvested from the estate's vineyards.

Mechanical harvesting with destemming directly in the vineyard, skin maceration from transport then in the presses, static settling, cold stabilization with resuspension of the finest lees, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

An artisanal distillation of Armagnac

Continuous distillation in a traditional copper Armagnac still, heated by wood fire. in century-old cellars with varied humidity levels, in lightly toasted barrels, made exclusively from French oak from the Vosges and Allier regions, to preserve the aromas, fineness, and freshness of the eaux-de-vie.

XO (Extra Old) & AOP Bas-Armagnac

This Bas-Armagnac bears the mention XO (Extra Old), guaranteeing a minimum aging of 10 years in oak barrels, which gives it exceptional complexity and elegance. It also benefits from the AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) Bas-Armagnac, a mark of authenticity, quality, and a deep connection to its terroir of origin.

Flavor of Bas-Armagnac XO

Its deep amber color immediately captivates. The nose reveals a beautiful intensity with notes of candied fruits, mild spices, and delicate touches of vanilla and fine wood. On the palate, it is round and persistent, balancing power and freshness. The finish lingers long with nuances of dried fruits, cocoa, and licorice.
