Foie gras is a very popular dish in France, probably one of the finest and most delicate tastes one can experience.
It is a dish enjoyed during gastronomic events and special occasions such as birthdays, Mother's or Father's Day, Christmas, etc. It is also perfect as a gift or as a dinner to share with your distinguished guests.
IGP foie gras preparation with a creamy texture
The IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) is an official certification of origin and quality, which guarantees that the foie gras blocks come from ducks raised free-range in the countryside of Southwest France and are fed with farm-grown corn. This preparation is also distinguished by its creamy texture, characteristic of a product crafted with care and respect for traditions.
The many tourists who visit farms in Southwest of France can see that the birds are raised in large open spaces outdoors. Visitors, who can then give their own opinion, are rarely shocked and most of them buy foie gras.

Tasting tips
- Foie gras generally appreciates being spiced and highlighted with seasonings. You can therefore enjoy these duck foie gras blocks simply on bread or in a salad, or season them with a little salt and pepper.
- If you prefer it plain, feel free to enhance it with a sweet touch like an onion confit or a fig chutney: it's a simple and quick way to enjoy foie gras. In the Southwest, the local tradition is to spread a block of foie gras on multigrain bread, walnut or fig bread and enjoy it with a glass of good wine. Sauternes is one of the favorite pairings!
- Whenever you feel like indulging, pair your foie gras with pieces of black truffle, their earthy flavor gives a unique touch to foie gras.
