Discover a rare and exceptional Foie Gras. Goose Foie Gras has a subtler, more refined and longer-lasting taste.
Refined and subtle, goose Foie Gras is appreciated by connoisseurs for its delicate flavour.
Goose Foie Gras is a luxurious starter which is much-loved by true connoisseurs of French gastronomy and perfect for even the most festive table.
Impeccable quality
Due to higher production costs than for duck Foie Gras, the vast majority of goose Foie Gras sold in France actually comes from geese raised in Eastern European countries. Only the canning is carried out in France.
On the other hand, the “Foie Gras Gourmet” goose Foie Gras comes from geese born and raised in France (the Grey Goose of the Landes is different from the Hungarian Goose raised in Eastern Europe countries) by breeders passionate about perfection who respect very specific production conditions, aiming to set their product apart from standard quality ones.
Also, the geese are raised in freedom on family farms in southwestern France. This involves a lengthy rearing period, during which the geese require a lot of attention from the breeders and high-quality feed. The bulk of the geese's diet is comprised of the grass which they peck at freely in the fields, along with cereals (especially corn grown in the Southwest).
Foie Gras Gourmet makes traditional goose Foie Gras which is 100% bred and produced in the Southwest of France, adhering to demanding criteria, following a dignified and respectful breeding process and involving fair remuneration for the breeders.
Serving suggestion for "Foie Gras Gourmet" whole goose Foie Gras
Whole Foie Gras is made from a single piece of a one individual Foie Gras, and, as such, represents the highest quality standard among the different types of Foie Gras.
This product is perfect for a festive family meal. For a very special starter, we suggest two slices per guest (or around 50g), complemented to perfection with a glass of sweet white wine or light champagne.
You can either serve it directly in its jar, each guest cutting the desired servings of Foie Gras directly from the jar, or turn it out of its mould and serve it on a plate.
If the Foie Gras has not been finished during the meal, all you have to do is close the jar or cover the plate with cling film. In this manner, the Foie Gras can then be stored for several days in the refrigerator.
Storage
Each whole goose Foie Gras can be stored perfectly well for several years in a cool, dry place in complete safety thanks to its glass packaging.
Place the block of goose Foie Gras in the refrigerator the day before you plan to enjoy it. Ensure you remove it just 15 minutes before serving.
We advise you to always keep one or two jars of Foie Gras in the refrigerator in case friends visit unexpectedly.
Once the Foie Gras has been removed from its jar, you can keep it for several days in the refrigerator on a small plate covered with cling film.
